Myers and Sons Construction is currently seeking a project engineer to work on a Water Treatment Plant project in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This person will work closely with the project manager, project owner, as well as Myers and Sons’ internal staff to complete projects in a timely and effective manner. This person must be self-motivated and willing to learn all aspects of the project, including scheduling in both preconstruction and construction, coordinating suppliers and subcontractors, submittals, RFI’s, change orders, layout, survey and quality assurance. The project is an upgrade to an existing 43 mgd water treatment facility. This project will construct new pretreatment and chemical injection facilities designed to maintain the plant’s capacity and enable the plant to accept increased amounts of local water in the future. The upgrades involve the construction of six facilities that will improve the plant operations. These facilities include; Pretreatment and Head Break Facility, Flocculant Aid Polymer Storage and Feed System, Raw Water Header Vault, Finished Water Blending Vault, Sulfuric Acid Storage and Feed System, and Sodium Hydroxide and Feed System.
Required Experience: Must have experience working on a Heavy Civil Project as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer.
Preferred Background: A Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineer or Construction Management degree. A licensed Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training.
