Myers and Sons Construction is currently seeking a project engineer to work on a Water Treatment Plant project in Pueblo, Colorado. This person will work closely with the project manager, project owner, as well as Myers and Sons’ internal staff to complete projects in a timely and effective manner. This person must be self-motivated and willing to learn all aspects of the project, including scheduling in both preconstruction and construction, coordinating suppliers and subcontractors, submittals, RFI’s, change orders, layout, survey and quality assurance. The project is improvements to the James R. DiIorio Water Reclamation Facility include replacement of the existing influent screw pump with two new submersible non-clog pumps and associated controls; installation of advanced aeration control strategies and improvements to the aeration control system; installation of a hydrocyclone system as a mechanical selector for mixed liquor settling control; replacement of the two dewatering centrifuges, dry polymer makedown system, and emulsion polymer makedown system; replacement of the existing fixed cover on Digester 2 with a 50-foot diameter fixed steel cover.
Must have experience working on a Heavy Civil Project as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer.
A Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineer or Construction Management degree. A licensed Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training.
